In the year 208 AD, during a time when the kingdoms of Wei, Shu, and Wu were in conflict, Cao Cao (played by Zhang Fengyi) of Wei, fueled by his exceptional governance and powerful military, seized over half of the Chinese continent in pursuit of unification. Meanwhile, the Shu forces led by Liu Bei faced constant retreats, ultimately losing their final stronghold, Xinye, and sought refuge in the southern region ruled by Sun Quan (played by Zhang Chen). However, united by a relentless will to not yield to Cao Cao, Liu Bei’s army commits to a life-or-death struggle with their remaining troops. To do so, they must form an alliance with Wu, but it proves difficult to persuade Sun Quan, who is wary of war. Thus, Liu Bei’s strategist Zhuge Liang (played by Kaneshiro Takeshi) sets off alone for Wu.
